The most exciting by-product of the weekend was revitalizing that volunteer spirit. It almost seems too easy considering how much fun we had!

Apalachee member starts Florida Trail thruhike on Sept. 27

One of our newest Chapter members (as of today!),

Paul Geyer of Tallahassee, will be starting a

thruhike of the Florida Trail, going from north to south,

on Saturday September 27th. You can follow along with

We wish him well on his hike!

September 15 Sopchoppy River hike

The Sopchoppy River hike scheduled for September 15 has been cancelled. The hot weather has made it impossible to do trail maintenance on the trail and, also, the leader finds the extreme heat not conducive to an enjoyable hike. There is another hike on the Sopchoppy River scheduled for November 18th.
