The Florida Trail Association & Apalachee Chapter Presents:
IDIDAHIKE 2022, an outdoor event to benefit the Florida Trail Association and the Florida National Scenic Trail

Volunteers of the Apalachee Chapter have been working hard to plan this weekend event and are excited to share our little piece of paradise!


FRIDAY: Early afternoon introduction (driving tour and short hike) within the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.

SATURDAY: Multiple hikes of various distances, levels, and times.

SATURDAY GATHERING: After a great day of hiking, grab some dinner at one of the local eateries (or bring your own) and plan to join us at the St. Mark’s Staging Area for an evening of music, the silent auction, speakers, and fellowship with other hikers.

SUNDAY: Multiple hikes of various distances, levels, and times.

**Current listing of hikes can be found on the registration page (above map).  Hikes will take place on the Florida National Scenic Trail and include areas like the Aucilla River and Sinks, Cathedral of Palms, Spring Creek, Port Leon and More! **

Nominal fee of $10 per night/per site to be charged to cover costs for portable toilet rental. No RV pumpout facilities or electricity.

Hike locations subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. For the hikes, plan to bring water, snacks/lunch, wear comfortable shoes, bug repellent and sunscreen (and/or wear a hat) as needed.  Dogs on leash may be allowed on some identified trails.  Dogs on leash are allowed on the City of St. Marks property.  

Donations for the silent auction are always appreciated. Please email with details of your generous donation by February 14.

Event Volunteers Needed!  

  • Assist the activity leaders on one of the many hikes being offered.
  • Perhaps you or a friend are a talented craftsperson (or can solicit a local store) and make a donation for the silent auction.
  • Day of event: Need folks to be on site Friday afternoon/early evening and Saturday to assist with event Set Up, Parking, Registration and the Silent Auction.
  • Lots of opportunity to assist!
