IDidAHike

The Ididahike is an annual event and fundraiser for the Florida Trail Association and is designed to showcase the wonderful and abundant trails in our backyard. Our chapter has committed to organizing this 13th annual event and offer a “buffet” of hikes over 1 day. There is a lot that goes into hosting this public event and volunteers are crucial to its success.

T-Shirt Design Submissions: Artwork Guidelines | Submission Rules and Form

If you can take the lead on any of the following areas, Dawn can share what information has been passed on by past IDIDAHIKE coordinators.

Fundraiser – send out letters to vendors requesting monetary donations or raffle items to help offset event costs.

Publicity (draft a poster and media PSA) This would be the 13th Annual Event.

Event Registration – develop online / paper event registration to keep track of participants (you will have access to our web coordinator as a resource)

Raffle Coordinator – coordinate during event and send out letters/emails to vendors and membership requesting items to donate for raffle. Many members have wonderful talents!

Site Coordinator – signs and logistics

Hike/Activity Coordinator – work with FTA activity leaders to organize various hikes (distances/levels) showcasing our amazing trails (can include paddle trips too).

Visitor Information – develop an information sheet identifying campgrounds (tents/RV sites), local trails, features, hotels and any other items of interest that can be placed on our web site for out of town participants. Volunteer: Dawn Brown

T-shirt coordinator – coordinate with a vendor on production, costs, graphic and event participant orders. Volunteer: Melissa Dancer
