Members of the Apalachee Chapter who are trained Florida Trail Association activity leaders lead regularly scheduled walks, hikes, paddling trips, work trips, and other outdoor activities throughout the year. It’s the best way to introduce yourself to the outdoors- go with a group! Those interested in an activity should contact the listed leader at least a full day prior to the event–or by the deadline given in the activity description. Dress appropriately for our unpredictable weather and the woods. Comfortable hiking footwear is recommended. Always bring water, and you may want to bring snacks, sun protection, and insect repellent. Most activities continue as scheduled, even if the weather is less than ideal. An adult chaperon must accompany children.
Please read the GUIDELINES FOR OUTING PARTICIPANTS before signing up for an activity. This will make for a better outing experience.
